Guys, I was waiting to put this category on the forums but I think we need to take it to the next level for those who wish too. Lets post our favorite Black Hat methods and see what new ideas we can come up with together! I will be releasing a tutorial here very soon, I just have to finish setting up the method and will post it here when I test it and verify it makes us some quick cash, it is a little out there but I think some of you will really get excited about this method as the profits from it will be amazing, I hope! Ok so you want to know a little secret ? I have been using Black hat methods for years and I can reveal that some of the methods work really well whilst others are a little risky and can cause you some slight problems in certain areas.

However having said that I do use on a daily basis certain methods and software systems that can have some amazing results.

One thing that you MUST always do when applying Black hat Methods for website indexing is ....WORK BEHIND A PROXY....ALWAYS...

Following on from the discussion about Black hat systems one must ask the question, what is Grey Hat Software ?

Grey hat software falls in to the catagory of software systems designed to simplify tedious tasks related to SEO (Search Engine Optimization) or Social Posting tasks.

Grey hat software can also be designed to spy on your competition or extract information that may be useful.

For example you may want to know where your own website is indexed in the search engines, if it is ranked on Google or Alexa. Or you may want to know who is linking to your website. You could of course work out all of this information by doing several different searches on all of the search engines, going to Alexa to see if your site is ranked there, or do a google "link" search to see how many backlinks you have pointing to your site.

All of this would of course take some time, so over time developers have designed software that makes this type of task much simpler.

One such piece of software is VIE-LinksWizard

There are many other tools available for these kind of tasks. for example you may wish to find out who is linking to your main competitor so that you too can request backlinks from them linking to your site.

SO what is the Main difference between Black Hat and Grey Hat software?

A good example of a Grey Hat method would be a situation where you want to automate requests for other users to comment or digg your articles on a digg account.

Whilst the Black hat Method would be where you would want to automate the creation of several digg accounts, and then further automate the system wherby the software would be able to digg and comment on those diggs to give the effect that your diggs were being promoted by multiple other users.

There are of course countless software tools for these tasks, and if anyone in this forum would like to learn more about the where, why, and when of what can be done then ask in this forum and I will answer your questions.

I have to agree with Geoff -- Proxies are a great tool at ALL times on the net, not just when implementing Black Hat strategies.

There are a whole range of different services to choose from, from free to paid, software to web based. While some are better than others, probably 85-90% of those out there are going to offer you greater privacy/security/protection than surfing without them.

if you use a free proxy server system make sure that you are ACTUALY behind a proxy IP address.

I recently tested a well know Proxy server system that did not actual hide your IP even thought the system said it was working, even worse was the fact that it actuall displayed the IP Address it was supposed to be using.
